Reflections on Place Branding is a critical exploration into place branding, documented as a printed publication. Collating insights from industry interviews, secondary research into design critiques, alongside branding experiments, the publication examines what best practice for place branding might be, while also considering opportunities to evolve our work in more ethical and sustainable ways.

As a reflection of my research journey, the publication is designed to allow readers to consume information easily. This is achieved through balanced white space, alongside green page inserts and imagery of my process, which highlight important ideas and further help tell the story.

This design research project was produced in the Visual Communication Honours degree undertaken at the University of Technology Sydney in 2021.
