This D&AD New Blood brief challenged us to tackle the lack of awareness surrounding menopause and positively disrupting stigmas.
The UNPAUSE campaign highlights how diverse menopause is by pressing pause on content which has been made by people who have/will transition to menopause. These real-world disruptions then direct people to a microsite which debunks myths and provides resources to educate and amplify various experiences.
To make the message clear, UNPAUSE adopts a bold visual style, with a bright colour palette, strong typography and disruptive hand-generated marks. Inspired by powerful protest campaigns, UNPAUSE sticks clear of stereotypical feminine identities, ensuring our message reaches wider audiences and re-writes the menopausal narrative.
