This illustration was created for a Spoken Word Poetry Workshop held at the Sydney Opera House in partnership with Bankstown Poetry Slam. The workshops targets people looking to ignite and improve their creative writing and slam skills.

A mic-drop seemed a evocative way to represent a poetry slam, which is further highlighted with lightening bolts. The illustration was hand-drawn to nod to the idea of self-expression and authorship. Bright yellow line-work, contrasted against a deep emerald green conveys the electric energy of a slam.
